 Preparation for a wet shave

Wash your face in warm clear water. Leave face damp before comencing your shave. A warm face cloth makes an ideal preperation for this.

For a perfect shave use a good quality, pre-shave oil - massage gently into face before applying shaving cream or gel

It is always preferable to use a brush for wet shaving. immerse the brush in warm water, Apply a small amount of shaving cream or gel to the centre of the brush.and commence brushing in a circulat motion until you have a comfortable lather.

Always ensure you use a sharp blade, whether you're using a traditional or safety razor. Shave with the grain of the facial hair - as shaving against the natural run of your beard can cause razor burn and painful rashes. Ensure you rinse the razor after each stroke and avoid using too much pressure to the skin.

Once you have finished your shave, rinse your face thoroughly in warm water and gently apply an after shave balm or mousturiser to sooth the skin. If you have a particularly young or sensitive skin, use a natural (non perfumed balm). Finally, don't forget to rinse the brush thoroughly.
